KNX is an open, manufacturer-independent standard for home and building automation. Sensors, switches, actuators, controls and technical systems communicate through a common bus, enabling functions across trades to work together instead of operating as isolated solutions.

Intelligently coordinate lighting, shading, heating and climate control
Lighting and indoor climate strongly influence everyday comfort. KNX controls lights, dimming, colour temperature, shutters, blinds, underfloor heating, cooling and ventilation as needed, while considering presence, time, brightness, window status and outdoor temperature.
Instead of controlling each function separately, coordinated processes are created. Shading prevents overheating in summer, uses solar gains in winter and reacts to wind or rain. Lighting adapts to use and time, while room temperatures are controlled individually and reduced when windows are open.

Building security is more than a camera or door opener. Window contacts, motion detectors, smoke and water sensors, outdoor lighting, door communication, access rights and video surveillance should be planned as one concept. KNX can process states and alarms and trigger suitable building responses.
When absent, presence simulation, central shutdown and controlled alarms can be combined. Access systems can operate by time or role, while indoor panels display door calls, camera images and building functions. Security-critical functions remain clearly separated and documented.
